MechMerch operates a Design Lab for merchandise concepts. This notice explains the information used by the Design Lab and this Shopify-hosted website.

Feedback you choose to submit

When you intentionally submit quick feedback or a detailed review, we record your ratings, reactions, intent choices, rankings, and comments, together with the concept and artwork version you reviewed. This functional feedback is necessary to save the response you asked us to save; it does not depend on optional analytics consent.

Optional Design Lab analytics

Optional Design Lab analytics are off unless you select Allow. If allowed, we use a first-party pseudonymous identifier to record concept impressions, detail views, dwell time capped by our collection rules, and referral-channel information. We use that information to understand which concepts earn attention and to improve the Design Lab. We do not use it to enable checkout, and we do not sell it.

Your choice is remembered in first-party browser storage for up to one year so we do not repeatedly ask. You can change it at any time with Lab data choices. Choosing Skip does not prevent you from browsing or submitting functional feedback.

Retention

Design Lab sessions and their raw storefront events and quick feedback expire after 30 days under the current retention process. Recruited or detailed-review studies can use a separately disclosed retention period. We may retain aggregated, non-identifying counts and audit records where needed to understand the experiment and protect system integrity.

Service providers and security

Shopify provides storefront hosting. Cloudflare provides network security, routing, and the Turnstile security check used to reduce automated submissions. Those providers process limited technical information under their own terms. Standard server security logs may also contain short-lived technical request information needed to operate and protect the service.
